The Hutton School of Business (HSB) offers degree-seeking students options for majors and minors in business administration or accounting. In either of these fields, you will find a healthy and challenging learning environment to develop your unique interests and talents and prepare you for a position of leadership in the 21st-century global marketplace.
One of the newest buildings on campus, HSB features classrooms equipped with the latest media, audio and data transmission technology for students to take advantage of. In small classes, you will study with faculty members who keep abreast of rapid changes in business and who are actively involved in the business community as financial advisors, tax consultants, officers of professional organizations and members of corporate boards of directors. As a business administration major, you may also earn from three to 15 credit hours and gain practical work experience through corporate internships.
Bachelor’s of business administration degree graduates can take advantage of opportunities outside the classroom, including an annual two-day business forum, where several business leaders and entrepreneurs come to campus to speak to the department’s junior and seniors. Students with a business administration major can attend presentations, and student business leaders have an opportunity to talk with the presenters one-on-one.
